Pinot Noir is the heart of Foxes Island and the Icons wines were 18 years in the making before we were totally satisfied that the wines were genuinely outstanding and worthy of the status. It is a pleasure to present the 2011 vintage, a powerful yet elegant wine with layers of flavours and textures
The best vines are hand tended and the selected fruit is naturally vinified by indigenous yeast in oak cuves. Gently handled through the entire winemaking process, the wines are matured in small, french oak barrels. Winemaker John Belsham then selects the very best components to create his final blend.
The wine had no fining and settled on its own, yielding a naturally vegan wine.
Le Renard Pinot Noir can be enjoyed today or cellared for the next 15 to 20 years.
