Chardonnay was the first wine ever made at Foxes Island in 1992, thus it’s a pleasure to introduce our ‘little one’; le petit.
Employing sensitive farming and winemaking practices whilst, drawing on his French training, John Belsham has crafted a chardonnay in a youthful expression that is fine and textural with lovely harmony and tension between ripe fruit, soft, vanillin oak and chalk.
Enjoy with vegetarian, mushroom, fish and white meat dishes or as an aperitif with a cheese platter. Ideal serving temperature 14℃.
FOX is named after the explorer William Fox, who named a tributary island in Marlborough, Foxes Island and in the Southern Alps, a glacier named Fox Glacier.
