The Riesling grapes are grown on a very stony, horseshoe shaped lower terrace of the Awatere Esate that sits alongside the Awatere River that is beautifully pure and flows from the Southern Alps.  

Designed to age, winemaker John Belsham crafts a very focused style that captures the purity of the Riesling flavours in a lovely, dry style.  The additional bottle age has allowed the wine to develop secondary flavours that are layered and generous whilst supported by a very precise structure with perfect tension.  Flavours of ripe citrus, white peach, river stone and summer ripe herbs are delicate and delicious.
