Library Collection Release - Limited
95 Points - Bob Campbell, MW

We are very pleased to re-release the 2008 Chardonnay from the Library. The 2008 was a very even, warm season delivering quality in spades. The Estate vines were 9 years old at the time; producing wonderful, complex fruit.

Farmed naturally and organically, the Chardonnay vines are hand-tended and the fruit is hand-harvested. The wine is naturally fermented in large French oak barrels by the indigenous yeast and bacteria that live in the vineyard (our secret sauce). Fermentation is long and slow, taking 10-12 months to complete.

Tasting Note (2019):  Cellar aged for 11 years, the wine has been allowed to develop real depth and complexity. Toasty aromas of brioche and white pepper sit elegantly on a warm citrus fruit aroma. Flavours of honeycomb, meal, flint and oak are harmonious and textural supported by a supple, elegant structure that is seductive and generous.

Bob Campbell, Master of Wine Tasting Note 2012:

Lively, scented wine with impressively pure citrus, white peach and mineral characters seasoned with toasty oak and yeast lees characters. The wine has an ethereal texture and a lingering finish with a great balance between fruity acidity and fruit/alcohol sweetness. High energy Chardonnay with subtle power 26/2/2012
