"The 2006 vintage was estate-grown in the Awatere Valley, hand-picked at 22 Brix, and fermented and lees-aged for four months in tanks. Highly scented, with lovely poise and delicacy, it offers strong, vibrant lemon/lime flavours, passionfruit and peach notes and a slightly minerally, sustained finish. Already highly expressive, it's also well worth cellaring."
Winewise Magazine Vol 23, June 2007
"Lovely floral nose with very good depth of fruit on the palate - finely textured with refreshing, mineral acidity. 12.5% alcohol. Highly recommended."

"The debut 2005 vintage was estate-grown in the Awatere Valley, hand-picked at 23 brix, and fermented and lees-aged for four months in tanks. It's a full-bodied wine (13% alcohol), lemony, appley and crisp, with a sliver of sweetness (7.7 grams/litre of residual sugar), minerally notes adding interest and good depth and structure. Worth cellaring."

"is young, with charming hints of lime flowers, mineral and ripe fruit, an attractive, textural palate and a well-balanced, steely finish. It will benefit from three or four years bottle age."

7/10
"Light, soft yellow. Aromatic fragrant nose has a lilt of dried flowers with the zing of limes and a fascinating touch of dry sacks. Impact is very classy, fruit dominated, long, lean and suave with a succulence that implies pleasure. Mid palate prickles with lime highlights and the juicy fruit has depth and freshness as well as a hint of ripe grapes. Finishes dry, smeared with citrus and grape fruit flavours, and long. Very classy, it's intensity fading gently at the end."
Graham Stringer - "The Christchurch Press", 3 August 2006
Seductive
"William Fox, the early surveyor after whom this winery is named, was a teetotaller. I bet he'd change his mind if he could try this absolutely delicious wine. The nose showed peach, citrus and floral notes. The palate was delicate but intense, with flavours of stonefruit and citrus. The finish was crisp, long and refreshing, showing just a hint of sweetness. With a little age, it's only to get better. I could go on but I'm too busy squabbling over who gets the last glass."
Len Sorbello - "Winewise Magazine", June 2006
Outstanding
"Delicate floral aromatics lead to a fine, equally delicate palate displaying minerally characteristics - long, persistent flavours with a hint of sweetness but balanced by a high acid backbone - ideal for cellaring."
